Senior Prom
Stephenson High School Prom 2011, "A Field of Dreams"... my senior prom, was definitely a night to remember. April 2nd, 2011.... I remember it like it was yesterday, even though it was just last month.
The morning of prom, I remember waking up around 7:00 a.m., and I said to myself “today is Prom Day” with huge smile on my face. I happily got out of bed, took a shower and was off to get my hair done. I was finish getting my hair done around 10:30; afterwards I went to pick my best friend Kelsey up and to make a couple of more stops. I had to buy some accessories for my hair, some jewelry, and had to pick my date’s boutonniere. I didn’t get back home until about 1 something and I was already tired but still excited about Prom later on. After going home, cleaning up, and taking a quick nap, it was time for me to get my make-up done. I’m not really a ‘make-up wearer’, so right when Angela (my step mom) started to apply the make-up I had a disgusted look on my face the entire time. Around 4:00 I was finish with everything, hair, nails, make-up, and getting dress and what felt like a photo shoot had begun. It seemed like everything was going so perfect…. Then my date and his family arrived. We took another million pictures and finally left around 5:15. We were supposed to have dinner at The Melting Pot but our reservations were messed up, smh, and we ended up eating at The Hard Rock. We didn't arrive to prom unttil after 8 because we were waiting for a table for an hour and a half.... They told us the wait would only be 45 minutes. We arrived to prom, had a blast, and hung out with friends afterwards. I even got back home at a decent hour ( I know my parents were happy). My senior prom basically went how it was supposed to <3

Greek Show
The Stepshow that was held by the staff was very interesting. By inviting actual AKA's,
the Clark Atlanta Dance team and Cheerleaders made it even better. I really enjoyed my part in both ofthe shows. I enjoyed filming what i did film... and listening to the remarks that Jorge and Jonathan were saying lol.
The best part of it all was when the staff stepped of course. students always like to see their teachers doing something other than teaching... especially if it has to do with something fun. Not trying to be rude... but out of the three soroities, it seemed as if the AKAs were the ones who've stayed the most "fit". dont get me wrong all the teachers looked nice... but when i was filming, the AKA's looked no different from the AKA's from Georgia State.
Overall everything was fun and it seems as the rest of the school likde it as well... it was kind of like a mini-pep-rally and it gave people a good laugh.

Invisible Kids
Invisible kids are the kids you never notice!!! you could have had multiple classes witht them since you freshmean year in high school, or even since middle school, but you still for some reason dont know their name. Its even invisible kids who play sports or may even be in the same organization as you, but whenever someine says their name, you always reply "Who?".
I think what makes invisible kids invisible is them just not standing out in any aspects of school. invisible kids are quiet in class, but they dont necessarily have the highest or lowest grade in the class. they can play sports but are not the super stars. and when being members in an organization, they may be active but none of their work is ever noticed.
Invisible kids are just invisible because, unfortunately they're not the loud one, the class clown, the one in all the gossip, the one who can dress, or even the attractive one; and they're probably not the friends of those people either.

Social Responsibility
Social Responsibility has many definitions, but most importantly it means responsibilities citizens have to their society and nation. I feel Social Responsibility is a common manner that is often overlooked. It should just be common sense to know what to do or not to do when certain crowds are around. "There's a time and place for everything". If you know you are going out in public you shouldn't use profanity or have it on you. If you never give back to your community, then it wouldn't hurt to at least donate something to a charity organization. There's even Environmental Responsibility, recycle something every now and then instead of littering. Social Responsibility is not for a certain age group, it's for everyone. Though emost people may not take Social Responsibility into consideration, that doesn't mean you shouldn't. BE DIFFERENT THIS TIME AROUND!!!

Playlist
I named my playlist after my middle name because only people who truely know me call "Lanae". Yes it is all slow songs, but if you get to know me, then you'll find that I'm an emotional person. Not emotional as far as dramatic, but emotional as in alot of little things matter to me that may not matter to the average person. I'm a Gemini, so i always hear that i have different personalities... and i guess Lanae is just my sensitive side.
